  Transamerica Comandatuba
A personal favorite of many here at AR Tourism, Brazil, the Hotel Transamerica Ilha de Comandatuba is quite likely the best lodging option for travelers seeking a luxurious and care-free beach vacation. Subtly sophisticated and noticeably tranquil, this resort offers unmatched services, amenities, and hospitality.

With a combination of 370 guest accommodations, including private bungalows, suites, and apartments, the Transamerica offers something to meet nearly every patron's wants and needs. You'll feel as though you have escaped to a mystical isle of paradise as you lounge outside of your bungalow amidst towering coconut trees or gaze at a sunset over the beach from your apartment's private deck. The Transamerica is often noted for its success in achieving the delicate balance of seclusion and accessibility that so many travelers actively seek.

While it certainly offers all of the amenities expected of a large luxury resort, the Hotel Transamerica Ilha de Comandatuba also boasts a few stand-out features which place it a step above the rest. The first of such features is the incredible 18-hole golf course integrated seamlessly into the landscape of the region. Natural lagoons, coconut groves, and sand dune formations mark the course that is also recognized as a premiere place to view a wealth of local wildlife. With a little luck, you may spot anteaters, foxes, and even native capuchin monkey before you reach the eighteenth green. Yet another unique feature of the hotel is its world-renowned L'Occitance Spa.

The L'Occitane Spa, located among the coconut fields of Comandatuba, offers guest treatments suitable only for royalty. The incredibly elegant and cozy environment of the spa will undoubtedly rejuvenate even the most weary traveler.

Located on the Island of Comandatuba, the Trasamerica Hotel provides one of the most unique and secluded lodging options in all of Brazil. Just seventy kilometers (forty-three miles) from the city of Ilheus, the facility is easily acsessed via a plane ride to Ilheus followed by a scenic one hour bus journey to the premises. Additionally, visitors may opt to fly directly into the Transamerica Comandatuba private airport, which provides incoming and outgoing flights twice each week to and from Salvador or Sao Paulo. Should you choose the latter option, you will arrive just ten minutes from the hotel grounds, and subsequently enjoy a brief ferry ride directly to the guest check-in facilities.
