Famous in Brazil for being a playground of the rich and famous, Buzios first came to international fame when screen siren Brigitte Bardot, vacationed here in the mid-sixties. Virtually overnight, this sleepy fishing village was transformed into an idyllic beach paradise, and is now the hippest place to vacation in South America.

This stunning resort town is a wonderful addition to a Rio de Janeiro stay, or worth a visit on its own. Only a two hour drive from Rio, a stay of two or three days is ideal at this beautiful location.
