The point where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes convene marks the beginning of the Amazon River. This excursion allows you to witness the remarkable spectacle that occurs at this location, where the black waters of the Rio Negro and the tan waters of the Rio Solimoes meet and flow parallel to each other for miles without intermingling. Your ship's captain can even position his craft so that each side of the boat has different colored water flowing past; a truly captivating sight.
